At the UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD) headquarters in Geneva, experts and representatives of competition authorities and international organisations discussed competition in the global grain trade. The discussions resulted in the establishment of a BRICS project task force that will prepare the bloc’s first joint sectoral study of the grain market. The initiative was presented by the BRICS Competition Law and Policy Centre based at HSE University.

By decision of the Government of the Russian Federation, HSE University Rector Nikita Anisimov has been appointed for a new five-year term. The corresponding resolution was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Alexander Shokhin, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), has been re-elected to lead the organisation for another four-year term. The decision was taken at an RSPP congress session held at the Russia National Centre. Since 1995, Alexander Shokhin has also served as President of HSE University. In addition, he heads HSE’s Department of Theory and Practice of Business–Government Interaction.

This status is awarded to world-leading business schools that demonstrate significant international influence, high academic standards, and sustainable connections with the global professional community.

A cooperation agreement has been signed in Moscow between HSE University and Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU). The document was signed during the official visit of a Vietnamese delegation to celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of Victory Day and negotiations involving President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Tô Lâm. The agreement was signed by HSE Rector Nikita Anisimov and VNU Rector Le Quan.

On May 8, 2025, in Moscow, in the presence of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping, strategic agreements were signed between the HSE University and two of China's top institutions, Peking University and Tsinghua University. The event was attended by Nikita Anisimov, Rector of HSE University, Qiu Yong, Secretary of the CPC Tsinghua University Committee, and Gong Qihuang, President of Peking University. The signing unfolded during the official visit of the Chinese delegation to Russia, coinciding with the commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of Victory Day.

Victoria Panova, Vice Rector at HSE University, Head of the BRICS Expert Council – Russia, and Russian W20 Sherpa, was honoured with the badge ‘For Contribution to International Cooperation.’

Directors of JSC Special Design Bureau and HSE University in Perm signed a cooperation agreement, providing for collaboration in the fields of design, education, and research.
