Agreement on a Double Degree Master’s Programme Signed with the University of Passau

The university has been a leader in German and global rankings in the fields of law, management and international relations for over 10 years and is known as an elite educational institution.

As part of the agreement signed with HSE, students of the Master’s programmes in Big Data Systems and Information Security Management will be given priority when applying to a joint committee of the HSE School of Business Informatics and the University of Passau Department of Computer Science. However, students in the Master’s programmes in Business Informatics and E-business are also welcome to participate if there are vacant places in the double degree programme.

Students enrolled in the programme at the University of Passau will follow an individual study plan approved by the programme manager. They will submit their Master’s thesis after their return from the University of Passau (approx. September – October in the year following enrolment in the programme). The total duration of study in the Master’s programme stays the same.

Simulation games involve the recreation of various situations within the framework of a specially designed environment. There are many different types of games, but most come in the form of computer simulations used in the fields of medicine, flight training, business, and politics. Simulation games are unique in that they are used mostly in practice; that is, they are constructed and only then is one able to see whether these constructions work or not.
