HSE Develops Interactive Web Version of Tolstoy’s War and Peace

The HSE School of Linguistics, along with Samsung Electronics and experts from the group Tolstoy Digital, has launched the web version of the project ‘Living Pages,’ which offers users a new visual and linguistic analysis of Leo Tolstoy’s iconic novel War and Peace.

‘Working with People with Special Needs Isn’t Charity Anymore’

Maria Sarycheva, graduate of the MA in Applied Cultural Studies at HSE began preparing museum guided tours for people with special needs while she was still studying. Now she works in the department of inclusive programmes at the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art. She was instrumental in designing the new HSE Accessible Museum course. Maria Sarycheva talked to HSE News about what to do when there is no sign language gesture for installation and how to introduce art to people with visual and hearing impairments.  

HSE’s Business Incubator in World Top 25

At the UBI Awards ceremony in London’s Trafalgar Square on November 25th, it was announced that HSE’s Business Incubator is 14th in the UBI Global best university business incubator rankings in 2015 and the only Russian representative in the top 25.

UBI Global Ranks HSE Business Incubator One of Europe’s Top 10 Incubators

The Higher School of Economics’ Business Incubator placed seventh in the UBI Global 2015 ranking of the best university business incubators in Europe. The results were announced at the regional UBI Awards in Europe ceremony in Turin.
