HSE University Announces Call for Proposals to Attend Anniversary Yasin Conference
HSE University invites submissions of proposals with academic reports for participation in the 25th Yasin (April) International Academic Conference (YIAC). The conference programme, centred on five research themes addressing issues of economic and social development, will retain its interdisciplinary focus and welcome participation from leading scientists in Russia and around the globe. The key events of the 25th Yasin Conference will be taking place in Moscow from April 15 to 18, 2025.
In 2025, the Yasin (April) International Academic Conference will take place for the twenty-fifth time, returning after a one-year pause with an updated format. The conference programme will focus on five key research areas: Economics, Human Capital and Society, Instrumental Methods in the Social Sciences, Foresight Studies, and International Relations. The events of the Conference will be held in Russian and in English, mainly in a face-to-face format.
The Programme Committee of the Anniversary Yasin Conference is chaired by Fuad Aleskerov, Head of the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Economic Sciences, Director of the International Centre of Decision Choice and Analysis, and Tenured Professor of HSE University.

'We have announced a call for proposals with reports for participation in the Yasin Conference. Traditionally, the Conference has been the largest academic platform in the post-Soviet space, attracting researchers from around the globe. This year, its programme will place even greater emphasis on economic and social issues while maintaining its interdisciplinary nature. The Conference will be open to scholars worldwide, bringing together leading researchers,' says Professor Aleskerov.

'The Yasin (April) International Conference is one of the most renowned and prestigious academic forums in our country, boasting a rich history, strong traditions, and a respected brand. In this anniversary year, we have decided to strengthen the focus on academic research, making the Conference more concise and dynamic. The main events are planned to take place in a face-to-face format, which we believe is crucial, as it is the only way to facilitate informal communication and networking. We will also support early-career researchers, which has already become an informal standard at HSE University for major projects like this one,' says Andrey Lavrov, Senior Director of HSE University and Deputy Chairman of the 25th YIAC Programme Committee.
The deadline for submitting applications to present academic reports at the Conference is Monday, January 20, 2025. Following established tradition, all applications will be reviewed by experts. Registration for the Conference as an attendee is also available. Applications from Russian citizens will be accepted until Thursday, April 10, 2025, and from foreign citizens until Monday, March 10, 2025.
