Now that another open enrolment session for research assistant positions has recently come to an end, more than 250 young researchers are starting their careers and combining work and study at the university.

Winners of AFK Sistema Scholarship Competition for MIEM Project Teams Announced
AFK Sistema's scholarship competition for software and hardware projects of the Tikhonov Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (MIEM), HSE University, has come to a close. The aim of the competition was to find talented teams of designers in the field of microelectronics among MIEM students. The winners of the competition were awarded personal scholarships.
Winning Research Initiative Projects to be Implemented by the End of 2022
In April, the results of the Research Initiative student project competition were announced at HSE University. Twenty-two team applications were submitted by students of 20 different fields of study at HSE University’s campuses in Moscow, Perm, and Nizhny Novgorod. Based on the results of expert assessment, the competition committee approved 17 interdisciplinary projects to be implemented by December 2022.

HSE Startup Cup: How to Turn an Idea into an Operational Business
The HSE Business Incubator is calling for applications for the HSE Startup Cup for the third time. This is a competition of projects by HSE University students and employees, as well as students of the HSE Lyceum. Registration is open until April 29.
HSE University Computer Science Teams Place First and Second in NERC ICPC 2022
Two teams from the HSE University Faculty of Computer Science (FCS) in Moscow have taken first and second place in the semi-finals of the 2022 International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC). The last time a single university took both first and second place was in 1997. Almost 250 teams took part in the event, five of which were from HSE University in Moscow. A team from HSE University in St Petersburg took fourth place. The winning team was awarded the winner’s trophy of the ICPC semi-finals, while the HSE University teams that placed second and fourth won gold medals.
