Petr Garmider, 27, from Uzbekistan, received his master’s degree from HSE University in 2022. Today, he works at one of Russia’s most popular music streaming services, where he develops algorithms that recommend music tracks for users. Open Air for Aspiring Experts in International Affairs: Internships in Africa, Mobility in Brazil
In early July, the HSE Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs (WEIA) on Malaya Ordynka hosted the annual Open Air Festival of its bachelor's programmes. In a relaxed atmosphere of the inner courtyard, guests interacted with WEIA administrators, faculty members, students, and graduates. Chinese characters and ice cream, origami and photo sessions, Portuguese desserts and Korean souvenirs, Turkish sweets, and African stickers were just a fraction of what guests could taste, enjoy, or win in quizzes testing their knowledge of the world.
HSE University and Central University Launch Double Degree Programmes
HSE University and the Central University announced the launch of two joint bachelor's and master's degree programmes in the field of information technology. This year, the first admission to the bachelor's programme ‘Design and Development of Information Products’ will open with the support of T-Bank,the programme’s industrial partner.

They have submitted all required documents for both full and partial scholarships, ranging from 25% to 70%. The submission of application portfolios, tests, and review of portfolios for international applicants will be open until August 11, 2024.

‘This New Specialisation Will Be a Real Challenge for the Most Ambitious and Motivated Students’
The HSE University and Kyung Hee University Double Degree Programme in Economics and Politics in Asia is launching a new specialisation in ‘Quantitative Economics and Finance in Asia.’ Students will gain fundamental knowledge regarding the mechanisms, driving forces, and features of economic and financial processes in Asia through the prism of quantitative analysis methods. New Opportunities: ICEF Hosts China’s SWUFE Delegation
On May 22, ICEF HSE hosted a delegation from the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics’ Research Institute of Economics and Management (RIEM SWUFE) in Chengdu, China, led by RIEM Executive Dean Professor Dong Yan. The parties exchanged signed copies of a cooperation agreement for the joint delivery of a Double-Degree Bachelor Programme in Economics and Finance.
