The third International Summit of Technology Parks and Business Incubators – ‘Technology Parks as New Drivers of Development for the National Economy’ – was held in Moscow. The summit was organized by the HSE together with the science park of Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) and Skolkovo’s technology park.

Students at the HSE Nizhny Novgorod Faculty of Business Informatics and Applied Mathematics successfully completed the Intel Delta Course 2014 'Additional Chapters on Software Engineering' and were given their certificates.

On May 28-29, 2014, an international academic conference ‘Analytical Communities in Policy Advisory Systems at the Global and Local Level: Comparative Analysis of Policy Impact’ took place at the HSE.

Professors have arrived from three foreign universities. The director of the laboratory, Angel Barajas will be spending about a month in Perm, and curators Felix Iturriaga, Fernandez-Jardon Fernandez and Dennis Coates, about two weeks.

As part of the UK-Russia Year of Culture, HSE’s Nizhny Novgorod campus held the international conference ‘Russia and England: Oncoming Traffic. Economics, Politics, Culture’.

A group of sociologists from the HSE presented the results of their academic work at the 10th conference of Yale University’s Center for Cultural Sociology. A special panel session of the conference was devoted entirely to the research being carried out by HSE’s Institute of Education on the life trajectories of Russian pupils.

At a panel session ‘Plan of Action to Improve Higher Education in Russia’ at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the heads of leading Russian universities, HSE Rector Yaroslav Kuzminov among them, and foreign experts discussed how to bring Russian universities to a new level.
