The 2nd Congress of Young Scientists was held at the Sirius Park of Science and Art in Sochi. HSE University representatives took an active part in it, working at various venues where a wide range of topics were discussed—from university development to machine learning and scientific cinema.

The HSE University School of Foreign Languages has held the second HSE LED Conference devoted to exchanging research and professional experience. HSE University is hosting the FIT-M 2022 International Scientific Forum. As part of this event, the HSE Cultural Centre held a series of lectures on November 29­–30. The HSE Faculty of Economic Sciences and the School of Economics at Shanghai University have co-organised the First Sino-Russian Workshop on ‘Economic Performance from Regional Aspects’. The researchers discussed how they detected and assessed the effects of different economic policies in Russia and China at a regional level.

HSE University recently took part in EdCrunch Reload, Europe's largest conference on new technologies in education. The conference was held in Kazakhstan on November 23^rd and 24^th. Yulia Remezova, Director for eLearning, talked about the digital expertise of HSE University during a panel discussion entitled ‘Are the Giants Still Strong? The Path of Massive Online Universities in an Ever Changing Educational Context’.

Russia's pivot to the East requires balanced actions, as well as knowledge of the languages, cultures, and traditions of Asian countries. Without this, Russian businesses will not be able to work there effectively. Experts and government representatives discussed the issue and the experience of Russia's regions working in Asia at ‘The Pivot to the East: The Regional Dimension’, the first interregional conference held by HSE University with the support of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development.
