The inaugural publication of the BRICS Research Group, a joint initiative between the Higher School of Economics and the University of Toronto, co-edited by John Kirton and Marina Larionova, has been published. This special publication for the 2012 New Delhi Summit is a collection of articles by government officials from BRICS countries, representatives of international organizations, businessmen and leading researchers.

RAS Award
Filipp Bykov, lecturer at the HSE Faculty of Economics Department of Higher Mathematics, has been awarded a medal by the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Innovations: a New Elective Course
In April a new all-university elective course on Science, Technology and Innovation: Analysis, Strategies and Policy will be launched at the HSE. It will be delivered in English by leading HSE international professors as well as some visiting experts. Dirk Meissner, Deputy Head of the HSE Research Laboratory for Science and Technology Studies, and one of the authors of the course, told us more about the course, its structure and specifics.
Victory in Paris
Evgeny Litvinenko, third-year student of the HSE School of Statistics, has become one of the winners of the International Piano Competition for Outstanding Amateurs in Paris.
International Relations
Starting from this year, as part of the master’s programme in International Relations in Eurasia at the HSE Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, the students are now specializing in International Relations (previously it was Political Science). Maxim Bratersky, coordinator of the programme, told us about the changes to the course.
