From October 18th – 20th the annual Russian Association of Higher Education Researchers conference on ‘ The Birth and Rebirth of Universities’ will take place at the HSE. A seminar for heads of young international universities will take place as part of the conference.
ERC Grants: Options and Opportunities
On September 18th 2012, a delegation from the European Research Council (ERC) visited the Higher School of Economics. ERC representatives spoke about how Russian researchers can access the grant programme of the Council.
About Global Leadership and Education
On September 10th the first after-summer seminar ‘Actual Research and Developments in Education’, took place as organized by the HSE Institute for Educational Studies. Sir Michael Barber, member of the HSE International Advisory Committee, spoke on ‘Oceans of Innovation: the Atlantic, the Pacific, Global Leadership and the Future of Education’.
Civil Society: Competition of Ideas and Interests
On June 19th Charles Buxton, manager of regional programmes in Central Asia and post-Soviet countries of the International NGO Training & Research Centre — INTRAC, spoke at the HSE on ‘Civil Society at a Crossroads: View from the Development Sector’ at a seminar organized by the HSE Center for Studies of Civil Society and Nonprofit Sector (CSCSNS).
Master in European Business or Business as Art
From May 15th-17th, 2012, Jérôme Bon, a recognized guru of the international market of business education, Emeritus Professor of ESCP EUROPE (№1 in Financial Times Ranking), founder and director of EMBA, Deputy Director General of ESCP EUROPE, President of the French Association of Business Schools, and member of several editorial committees of leading international journals, visited the HSE. He told us about the launch of a unique, new cutting-edge Master in European Business program at the HSE.

On May 21st 2011, Robert Aumann, Nobel laureate in economics and Professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, spoke at the HSE on ‘Rule Rationality vs. Act Rationality’. The lecture was organized by the HSE together with the Embassy of Israel in Russia.
